How We Helped a Cherry Exporter Ship “Rubies” Without the Soggy Mess

Pineapple Packaging

We recently worked with a long-time partner who exports premium cherries. He faced a major issue: his cherries are like rubies—beautiful and valuable—but after a 30-day sea voyage to Asia, the boxes became damp and softened.

A damp, weakened box results in bruised fruit, and bruised fruit means lost profits. We had a thorough discussion together and realized we needed a box that was moisture-resistant while staying rock‑solid. We selected heavy-duty paper built to withstand high humidity, finished with a specialized moisture-proof coating.Deep red and black spot color printing, enhanced with high-gloss UV, creates striking, vivid cherry graphics.Precision die-cutting forms clean, smooth ventilation holes, preventing paper dust from contaminating the fruit.

The Result: When the shipment arrived in China, our client called us, excited. For the first time, every single box was as crisp as the day it left the orchard. But the best part? His customers loved the look so much they were using the boxes as gift sets. He told us, “My cherries finally have the ‘suit’ they deserve. Sales are up because the trust is there.”

Why Seeing the Real Product Changed Everything for a Frozen Seafood Brand

Frozen Seafood Packaging

Ever walk through a supermarket and notice frozen shrimp boxes where you can barely see the product inside? That’s exactly what one of our seafood clients wanted to fix. They supply excellent Black Tiger Shrimp and wanted to add a clear window to their packaging, so their product would be fully visible to customers instead of being hidden.

Our Simple Fix: We told them, We told them, We use food-grade paperboard paired with food-grade film for their packaging.” Then, we made the box waterproof from the inside out, so it wouldn’t get soggy when the customer took it home to defrost. We kept the design simple—deep ocean blue with a touch of silver to make it feel “premium.”

What Happened Next: The brand manager sent us a photo from a local grocery store a month later. You could see every single shrimp through that window—crystal clear. She said, “Customers are actually picking up our boxes now because they can see exactly what they’re paying for. It’s like the product is speaking for itself.”

15kg of Fresh-Rinsed Pineapples: How a Waterproof Crate Ended Transit Breakage

Shipping 15kg of pineapples is no joke. They are heavy, they are rough, and here’s the twist—our client’s process involves submerging freshly picked pineapples in water to clean them thoroughly before packing. After rinsing, the damp fruit is loaded directly onto pallets and into boxes, which meant the packaging was constantly exposed to moisture. The client was frustrated because their old boxes would soak up water, soften, and eventually break apart during transit—either tearing at the seams or collapsing under the weight of the pallets above, leaving pineapples bruised, dirty, and unsellable.

Building a Waterproof, Sturdy Crate: We didn’t just make the box thicker; we focused on making it more resistant to water and better able to handle weight. First, we used heavy-duty, water-resistant cardboard designed to repel moisture rather than absorb it, helping to prevent soggy, weakened walls. Then, we added partitions inside the crates at the pallet bottom to improve load-bearing capacity, helping the boxes better support the weight of stacked pallets and reduce the risk of collapsing. We also added a specialized waterproof coating to every surface, which helps ensure that even damp pineapples are less likely to seep through and damage the box.

After receiving the goods, our client sharcommentswas pleased with how the crates performed during container loading and when used to pack pineapples. They commented that the crates’ stable structure made container loading more efficient, as the boxes were less prone to shifting or being damaged during the loading process, which saved time and effort. When using the crates to pack pineapples, they found that the waterproof feature effectively reduced the impact of damp fruit on the packaging, and the partitions at the bottom enhanced load-bearing stability. They also mentioned that compared to their previous packaging, our crates had greatly alleviated problems related to water damage and box collapse, bringing more convenience and reassurance to their overall shipping process.
